D5 Nation is the Children's Ministry of STN

The DNA of D5: Disciples, Diverse, Destined, Determined, Dreamers

Vision:

We are disciples of Christ who make up a diverse community, destined to do great things and determined to fulfill God’s will, while being the dreamers who will envision the impossible and do the supernatural.

Mission:

To follow the heart of God in order to fulfill His dreams for the nations (Psalm 37:4).

Breaking It Down

Disciples - God called us to become disciples, we believe D5 to be a place where disciples are taught how to walk a black and white life in a very grey world.

Diverse - We believe God called us to go to the nations, thus we expect our children's ministry to be a diverse group of kids from as many races and cultures possible.

Destined-Our children will develop a mindset where destiny is at the forefront of thought and where they understand they were born for a purpose.

Determined-In a world where its much easier to quit and stop trying, we are a children's ministry that will develop kids who are determined in spirit, committed at heart to follow the ways of the Lord not the world.

Dreamers-many kids in our society today are broken, their dreams shattered but our ministry desire is to make believers out of these kids once more and give God a chance in their lives.

Strategy (the means of fulfilling the mission & vision) through MEETINGS:

Meeting in monthly discipleship groups called ‘Real Talk’

Expressing individual diversity through quarterly talent shows

Exploring unique spiritual gifts through times of worship and prayer

Teaching of the Word in a community setting (via Church, coffee shops, etc)

Inspiring children to times of meditation and reflection in small group settings

Navigating through weekly devotionals for spiritual maturity and character growth

Going out into the community to do events and do social projects in order to reach the lost (i.e. street clean up, VBS, food pantry, car washes, etc).

Soul-winning through relational and community evangelism in order to reproduce effective disciples for Christ

Children until the age of 13 are considered part of D5 Nation.
