Hi there friend! Thanks for wanting to get to know us! Each member of the pastoral team here at STN brings something unique to the mosaic that is SaveThe Nations. Our unique blend of experiences, both life and ministerial as well as our genuine desire to bring all people to the knowledge of a graceful and merciful Savior and passion to develop believers towards their destiny helped prepare us to walk with you on this journey we call "life". We're not perfect not by a long shot but we're certainly honored God would call us to pastor this church;we love people and all align under this one simple belief: YOU WERE BORN FOR GREATNESS. We are awed that God will allow us to co-labor with him to bring the greatness in you to fruition.
Pastors Ken and Lisa Albin founded Save the Nations Church with a handful of committed people who gathered in a home on September 17, 2006. Though God had put a vision in their hearts to plant churches, it was during one of the most trying personal and economical times that God led them to launch the church in South Florida. Abandoning human logic, their faith compelled them to invest everything they have into what is now a powerful community of faith. After just 4 weeks they moved the Sunday service to Western High School where they met until December of 2007, when God blessed them with their current location in Davie, Florida. Pastor Ken was born in New York and moved to Florida at the age of seven where his parents soon divorced, which left him deeply hurt for many years. During this time, Ken being Jewish went to Hebrew school and Temple regularly. At the time of his Bar-Mitzvah, many confirmed a calling as a “rabbi” or “cantor”. It was soon after this that Ken’s grandparents met the Lord at a full Gospel business men’s meeting. With momentum that came from above, Ken’s Dad accepted the Lord as well as his mother who was is now serving the Lord full time in Messianic Jewish ministry. Ken being moved by his now “born again” Dad, was open to hear the message that changed Dad’s life. In the summer of Ken’s sophomore year at Nova High school in Davie Florida, Ken met Jesus who radically changed his life as well. After a radical conversion ken began to attend Church where in youth group he met his “life partner” Lisa. Ken has been faithful to the house of God ever since then. He has served in Children’s ministry, Youth, Worship, as well as in Associate and Senior Pastor roles for now over twenty years. Pastor Ken has an earned Bachelor of Theology from International Seminary and his Masters Degree from Liberty University. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter who has written over 100 songs. Pastor Ken has a heart to reach and empower people with the Word of God. As Founder and Lead Pastor of Save the Nations, he desires to inspire, instruct, resource and release people into the destiny God has for them. Pastor Ken is a down-to-earth communicator of the Word, who unashamedly speaks kingdom truth with revelation and relevance. Pastor Lisa is a third generation preacher’s kid. Her family are all in ministry and this is the only thing she’s ever known. Pastor Lisa has a powerful prayer anointing and is known to battle in prayer for the things God has promised her and others. She is a dynamic teacher and preacher and has spoken locally and nationally. She has a heart to train and mentor women on how to balance their lives today, which she does with a unique fiery style and grace which complements her husband Ken greatly. Together they work as a powerful team building a special place where people from all nations can worship and use of their gifts for the expanding of God’s kingdom. Pastors Ken and Lisa have been married since 1982 and have one daughter, Brittney who graduated from Southeastern University and is herself involved in worship ministry. Damian Martinez, originally from the Bronx in New York, is a dynamic and energized young man with a heart to guide youth and children back to their Abba Father. At a young age, his family moved down to Miami Beach, FL where he lived in a violent home with an alcoholic and drug-ridden father. At the age of 11, leaving very violent and deadly living circumstances, with his mother and brother they left Miami Beach and moved to Lake Placid, a very small town in central Florida. It was there where Damian accepted Jesus as his Lord and grew in discipleship at the First Assembly of God. By the age of 14, he had an encounter with God that forever changed who he was and his destiny, being called into the ministry during a time of prayer in his own bedroom. A first generation Pastor and the only one among his entire family, he graduated from high school in 2004 and continued to be a volunteer student leader in that church’s youth ministry. Staying at home for one year and attending a community college, Damian with several other young adult leaders in Highlands County also started a countywide young adults bible study called Elevate. It grew to over 100 college students in less than a year that spanned across many denominations and fused the unity of many churches and church leaders in Highlands County. From there, he attended Southeastern University and graduated with a double major in Practical Theology and Church Ministries and a double minor in Youth Ministry and Business in 2008. During that time, he was a part of several leadership organizations on campus including: SEU Preaching Team (traveling through central Florida preaching in RV parks and churches), F.I.R.S.T Teams Leader and Mentor (campus-wide freshman discipleship groups), and Adoration (a bilingual worship ministry, trumpet player, and the group’s spiritual leader). Damian has also traveled as an evangelist to bring the message of the Kingdom of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout his college career at several youth ministries in Florida and along the east coast of the USA. Once he graduated in 2008, the Lord led Damian to become part of the church plant with Pastor Ken and Lisa at Save The Nations in Davie, FL. Currently, he is responsible for the overall development and operations of God Rocks, STN's Children's ministry and Rise Up Youth Ministry, the cutting-edge youth ministry of STN. Damian is poised to make a huge impact on the surrounding community with his relevant and innovative ideas, and true love of ministering to this age group. He also is an entrepreneur, and has started his own successful motivational speaking business with RISE UP! Motivation. Speaking at schools, assemblies, conferences, and anything that deals with youth is an obvious passion in Damian’s life. You can visit www.riseupmotivation.com to learn more information about having Damian and RISE UP! Motivation come speak at your school assembly, leadership conferences, workshops, graduation ceremonies, Red Ribbon Week, D.A.R.E. week, etc. He also loves to joke and have fun, has the GO-power of the energizer bunny, and currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Pastor Damian is available to speak to youth groups in schools and churches and recently wrote a book "Is Your Face In The Book" which you can purchase here.
